Tui Na Massage

deep tissue massage

Tui Na Massage is an ancient Chinese therapy used to address the way muscles and ligaments relate to the skeletal bone structure. In other words, the muscles and ligaments pull on the bones; if the muscles are tight, they pull the bones of the skeleton, maligning the structure slightly. Tui Na Massage can be extremely useful to loosen the soft tissue before seeing your chiropractor.

Tui Na massage uses a combination of both eastern and western techniques, such as acupressure, moving energy through the meridians to lubricate and manipulate the joints, and various physical muscle manipulation to the tissue, such as kneading, friction, pulling, rocking, rotating, gliding, and vibrations. These techniques are very similar to deep tissue massage, but the combination of unblocking the energy flow with the physical manipulation greatly increases the effects in a shorter time.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage is a system that treats the body as a whole in an effort to stimulate the natural healing process. The gentle pressure and rhythmic rocking are extremely relaxing while the stretching and twisting positions provide stimulation that you will not find in a table massage. People often report feeling not just relaxed, but energized following a Thai Massage.

We offer Thai Massage as both a treatment by itself, or in conjunction with therapeutic table massage. The stretching components of Thai Massage effectively compliment the direct muscle attention that is the hallmark of table massage. It stretches and stimulates the muscles to improve circulation and lubricate the joints either following or preceding a table massage.
