About Our Acupuncturist
Our Acupuncturist practices acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a focus on minimal acupuncture, Oriental nutritional counseling and the mind-body therapies. She uses only very gentle acupuncture needles as well as non-insertive techniques, laser and electro acupuncture, breathing techniques and dietary supplements. She draws on various styles of Oriental medicine in order to develop the most suitable and effective treatment for each patient.
The following points outline what to expect when you come for treatment:
Gentle/minimal acupuncture
I use only the smallest gauge needles possible suitable to children, elderly, and needle-phobic adults.
Evidence-based practice
Scientific evidence has made important contributions to the practice of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. I strive to be conscientious in the use of scientific evidence and routinely incorporate research findings into my practice of acupuncture.
Patient-centered care
This approach focuses on patent’s individual needs and preferences, in addition to advice and counsel so that you can receive the maximum benefits of Oriental Medicine.
Emphasis on preventive care
Oriental medicine is an excellent tool for maintaining the balance from which good health can flourish. Healthy lifestyle habits are essential to support the healing process and greatly enhance the outcome of acupuncture treatment.
